Call to Artists: Apocalypse Food

APOCALYPSE FOOD is looking for food items and contraptions, working and non working, edible and not edible, realistic and un-realistic for the first Apocalypse Food Exhibition. Apocalypse Food by definition is
-any nourishing substance that is eaten, drunk, or otherwise taken into the body to sustain life, provide energy, promote growth
-any universal or widespread destruction or disaster

For this Exhibition we are looking for food items that discuss the possibilities of sustainability and shelf life while being creative with elements of design and structure. We will accept any medium but encourage food. After the show is taken down, these food items will be placed in a locked chest for 20 years at the University of West Florida Art Department buried in the ground. After a period of 20 years the food will be showcased once again or may have been eaten by this time.
